In
the mid to late 1930s, McIntyre
students attended the 8th grade at the Coal Run school which was located
less than a mile away. Although this is a current photo, the exterior is similar to that time
when it functioned as a school. For a while the building was used as a Senior
Citizen Center. As of November of 2001, it was for sale.
