PROCLAMATION received from the Board of Commissioners, Indiana County, Pennsylvania April 14, 2003. In part the Proclamation stated, "Now, therefore, We, the Commissioners of Indiana County do hereby acknowledge and congratulate Susan Ferrandiz for an outstanding project that has brought about recognition to McIntyre and Indiana County..."

The Internet Scout Project is located in the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Professional librarians, educators, and content specialists filter, look at and select the most valuable and authoritative resources available online


From the International Association of Webmasters and Designers, the Golden Web Award is given in recognition of creativity, integrity, and excellence on the Web. 


"Best of the Net" award from About.com's page on Coal Mining in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. 


McIntyre, Pennsylvania has been selected as the Pennsylvania Destination of the Day (PDD) for March 22, 2002. The PDD has been highlighting the best web sites since early 1997. 


Each month the PAVBCA posts a new Site of the Month for a number of different categories including "Interesting and Fun Sites-Pennsylvania."  McIntyre was listed for April, 2002 in this category.
